Nashville Ballet Nashville Theatre reviews
John was excellent, but worst seats I ever had!
We attended the Nashville Ballet concert on Saturday night, and I have to say that the new format and music were fantastic. However, our seating situation really ruined the night for me and the other three people in our group, as well as many others in our general area. I was expecting good seats since we had Orchestra Seating at Radio City, but we ended up in row "W," which turned out to be the last row. I don't mind being in the last row usually, but this time there was a major issue. There was a bar set up right behind us, and there was no partition behind our heads. Throughout the entire night, we were constantly distracted by the loud noise from the people at the bar. There were moments when the noise from the bar patrons actually overshadowed the performance, prompting someone in the row ahead of us to shout at them to be quiet. This was my 17th Nashville Ballet concert, and while the unique format was enjoyable, the distractions really took away from the experience. I have never been so disappointed with my seating at a concert, especially since it was for my favorite artist. We paid good money for those seats, but all four of us left feeling frustrated by the constant noise from the bar. I hope that Radio City considers not having bars inside the theater in the future, as it can be a major distraction for those in the back rows.
